Registration for the public is now closed. Media are welcome to cover the discussion but must RSVP to attend.Who: Itamar Rabinovich, author, former Israeli ambassador to the U.S., founding president of the Israel Institute, professor emeritus of Middle Eastern history and former president of Tel Aviv University and a distinguished global professor at New York University.James A. Baker III, former U.S. secretary of state and honorary chair of the Baker Institute, will introduce Rabinovich.Edward Djerejian, director of the Baker Institute and former U.S ambassador to Israel and Syria, will moderate the discussion with Rabinovich.What: An event titled “Israel, Syria and the Larger Middle East: From Rabin to the Present.” A book signing and reception will follow the discussion. Using the ongoing Syrian crisis as a prism, he will also discuss major issues present in the Middle East today.
