first_imgThe Smart Money’s at Vantage Toyota With Launch of Community Drive Leading Toyota dealer group Vantage Toyota has launched a new community initiative that will see thousands of pounds invested in community and social projects across the North of England. The Vantage Toyota Community Drive will run for 6 weeks over the summer involving the group’s six Toyota centres with each giving away £2,000 to support worthwhile causes. The initiative is being run to celebrate the launch of the all new Yaris and recognises the important contributions that many community groups make to improve their local areas and to help those that might otherwise be struggling after government cuts.Run in conjunction with the local media in each town, the initiative will invite community groups, clubs and deserving individuals to submit a bid describing how they will spend the money and how this will benefit their local area. The initiative will be open to all and could include everything from supporting community music groups to kitting out the local youth football team or supporting an up and coming sports star.Once all entries have been received, a shortlist of potential finalists will be compiled with the overall winner in each area to be decided by a public vote. The winners will be announced at a special event at each Vantage Toyota Centre.Commenting on the initiative, Vantage Managing Director, Mark Robinson said:“We are really excited to launch the Community Drive. As a local dealer group we have very close relationships with our community and as part of our on-going commitment we’re already a member of the Guild of Patrons for Harrogate’s Saint Michael’s Hospice. This initiative is a chance for us to give something back to help good causes and local families feeling the pinch during these difficult economic conditions.”“I am looking forward to seeing the range of different entries we will receive – and who the public decides is the most deserving winner.”Group Marketing Manager, Louise McLoughlin added: “At Vantage, we’re all hugely excited about the new Yaris which will be launched with the strapline, ‘the smart money’s on Yaris’, so we thought there was no better way to introduce the brand than to invest some smart money of our own to the benefit the local community. The initiative represents a significant investment by the company into CSR activity which it believes will develop the brand’s links with their local communities whilst complementing traditional marketing activity. To enter the competition, Vantage Toyota has created a dedicated website which can be visited at www.vantage.toyota.co.uk/communitydriveVantage Toyota was founded in 2003 and is based in Knaresborough in North Yorkshire. The group has six Toyota dealerships in Colne, Preston, Blackburn, Knaresborough, York and Scarborough. In June the dealership acquired Manchester’s only Hyundai dealership representing a significant step for the business as it diversifies into new marques and new market areas.  25 total views,  1 views today AddThis Sharing ButtonsShare to TwitterTwitterShare to FacebookFacebookShare to LinkedInLinkedInShare to EmailEmailShare to WhatsAppWhatsAppShare to MessengerMessengerShare to MoreAddThis About Howard Lake Howard Lake is a digital fundraising entrepreneur.
