GLENDALE, AZ – DECEMBER 30: Head coach James Franklin of the Penn State Nittany Lions leads his team onto the field prior to the start of a game against the Washington Huskies during the Playstation Fiesta Bowl at University of Phoenix Stadium on December 30, 2017 in Glendale, Arizona. (Photo by Norm Hall/Getty Images)Overall, Penn State football’s 2019 home slate is a little…underwhelming. Beaver Stadium will still be packed to capacity, but fans miss out on some big opponents. For starters, the Nittany Lions play Michigan State, Ohio State and Iowa on the road. Maryland is a road game as well, albeit one a lot of Penn State fans can travel to easily.Home games with Indiana, Buffalo, Rutgers and Idaho aren’t too sexy either. Pitt and Michigan are Penn State’s top two home games. Thus, it shouldn’t be a major surprise that the most expensive ticket for a game in Happy Valley is for the Michigan contest in mid-October.
3 February 2008India has played a vital and long-standing role in helping the people of Nepal and also in supporting the efforts of the United Nations across the South Asian region, Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon says. In a statement issued by his spokesperson on Friday, Mr. Ban clarified comments to the press made by Matthew Kahane, the UN’s Resident Coordinator and Humanitarian Coordinator in Nepal, on 24 January.“His comments were not intended to suggest that the Government of India has influence over Nepalese groups that have recently been limiting the steady flow of essential goods into the Terai region of Nepal, such as food,” the statement noted.“India is an important partner in the region and we appreciate very much the unfailing and long-standing assistance and support that India has provided to the United Nations and, more importantly, to the people of Nepal.”
